Happy new school year 2018-2019!

For those of you who are visiting our website for the first time, let me introduce myself. Everybody at Fiore calls me Ma’am Jossie. I am a retired professor from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. For my apostolate work, I have been serving as Fiore’s Principal for many years now. I saw Fiore grow from a pre-school of 18 pupils in the garage of the convent of the Carmelite Sisters to the close to 500 students and the three edifices of today.

Fiore Del Carmelo School was initially conceived to serve the children from the underprivileged areas surrounding our school. However, the escalating cost of education made us open the gates of the school to other students who can afford to pay the modest fees that we charge.

Fiore is one of the few, if not the only private school in this part of the Metropolis, that offers the technical-vocational curriculum. We offer our students specialization in Computer System Servicing and Welding, We also offer subjects in culinary arts and dressmaking. We are proud of the education and training that we give our students who always register a 100% passing rate in the examinations given by TESDA. Our curriculum educates and trains our students in skills that will enable them to earn a living after graduation or to work and study at the same time.

I am particularly excited about this school year. We are focusing on character education, and have included in our curriculum the teachable virtues. Based on their experience at Fiore, our teachers chose the virtues of cleanliness, obedience, kindness, honesty, cooperation, generosity, acceptance, self-discipline, responsibility, humility, initiative, creativity, confidence, determination and optimism. Each level will focus. on a virtue. The virtue of respect will be inculcated in all levels. Hopefully, the students will imbibe these virtues and live by these virtues even after they shall have left Fiore.

We try to give our students good teachers. I, myself, teach subjects in English, oral communication and research. The Carmelite Sisters handle the classes in Christian living. To give our students a well rounded education, we give our students co curricular and extra-curricular activities.

I invite you to visit our school. I will be happy to show you around
